Shipping policy

FurMed is a platform powered by Vital Rx Pharmacy, 2192154 Ontario Inc., an Ontario-accredited pharmacy (OCP Accreditation Number 300344). FurMed is not a pharmacy. All dispensing, compounding, pharmacist review and counselling are provided by Vital Rx Pharmacy. In this document, "we", "us" and "our" mean Vital Rx Pharmacy, which provides its pharmacy services through the FurMed platform, and "FurMed" means the platform and the website at furmed.ca.

Vital Rx Pharmacy ships eligible veterinary medications, through the FurMed platform, using delivery methods appropriate to the medication and destination.

Where we deliver

Veterinary medications delivered across Canada, where permitted by applicable provincial requirements.

Although Vital Rx Pharmacy may serve customers outside Ontario, availability for delivery to a particular province or territory depends on the medication, the destination, the prescription and applicable federal and provincial requirements. Not every medication can necessarily be delivered to every Canadian jurisdiction. Federal law classifies certain veterinary drugs as prescription drugs throughout Canada, and provincial or territorial rules can add restrictions. FurMed may decline or modify a shipment where required for legal, regulatory, professional, safety or operational reasons.

If we cannot deliver to your location, we will tell you before payment is requested.

When we ship

We ship only after (1) the prescription has been reviewed and approved by a pharmacist, and (2) payment has been received. Shipping is not available for requests with status Needs Info or Rejected.

Processing and delivery times

Processing and delivery times depend on prescription review, the medication and your location. Delivery times are estimates unless expressly stated otherwise. Compounded medications may take longer to prepare.

Shipping costs are shown before you pay.

Carriers, tracking and signature

We use courier services appropriate to the medication and destination. Tracking information is sent to you when your order ships. Where tracking, signature or other delivery controls are required, we use an appropriate delivery method.

Controlled substances

Controlled substances are subject to additional legal and professional requirements. Vital Rx Pharmacy may require additional prescription verification, identification, delivery controls or other safeguards before dispensing or shipping a controlled substance. Certain controlled substances may not be eligible for ordinary online ordering or standard delivery. Vital Rx Pharmacy maintains controlled-drug records and inventory controls as required by applicable law and professional requirements.

Temperature-sensitive medications

Some medications need special packaging and delivery arrangements. Where a medication requires temperature-controlled shipping, Vital Rx Pharmacy determines the appropriate delivery method, and may not be able to ship it to every destination or on every day of the week. Follow the storage instructions supplied with the medication.

Delivery address and inspection

Please give an accurate delivery address. Inspect your package promptly on receipt. If it appears damaged, tampered with, incorrectly addressed or otherwise compromised, contact us immediately at +1 (905) 846-4411 or furmedpetpharmacy@gmail.com.

Delays, loss and damage

Delivery estimates are not guarantees. Vital Rx Pharmacy is not responsible for delay caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control, including carrier disruption, severe weather, regulatory intervention or incorrect delivery information supplied by the customer. If your order is delayed, lost or arrives damaged, contact us promptly. For safety reasons we will not replace medication where its integrity cannot be confirmed. Nothing in this policy limits rights under applicable consumer-protection legislation.
