FurMed is a platform powered by Vital Rx Pharmacy, 2192154 Ontario Inc., an Ontario-accredited pharmacy (OCP Accreditation Number 300344). FurMed is not a pharmacy. All dispensing, compounding, pharmacist review and counselling are provided by Vital Rx Pharmacy. In this document, "we", "us" and "our" mean Vital Rx Pharmacy, which provides its pharmacy services through the FurMed platform, and "FurMed" means the platform and the website at furmed.ca.

These Terms govern your use of furmed.ca and your purchase of products and pharmacy services from Vital Rx Pharmacy through FurMed. By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms, subject to any rights you have under applicable law. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. Platform and pharmacy information
FurMed is a platform powered by Vital Rx Pharmacy. Pharmacy services, including dispensing and compounding, are provided by:

Vital Rx Pharmacy is an Ontario-accredited pharmacy operating an Internet pharmacy service through the FurMed platform. FurMed is not a pharmacy and not a veterinary clinic, and neither FurMed nor Vital Rx Pharmacy provides veterinary diagnosis or veterinary medical care.
2. Pharmacy services
Vital Rx Pharmacy provides veterinary pharmacy services through the FurMed platform, including prescription dispensing and, where appropriate, compounded veterinary medications. All pharmacy services are subject to applicable federal and provincial legislation, professional standards, prescription requirements and pharmacist professional judgment. Website disclaimers do not limit the professional responsibilities of our pharmacists.
3. Prescription requirement
Prescription medications are dispensed only where a valid prescription from a licensed veterinarian has been received, verified and accepted by the pharmacy, where applicable. Submitting a request or uploading an image or copy of a prescription is not an order and does not by itself guarantee that a medication will be dispensed. We may contact the prescribing veterinarian to verify a prescription, and may refuse to dispense where the prescription cannot be authenticated, is incomplete or expired, is otherwise invalid, or where dispensing would be inconsistent with applicable law or professional requirements. 4. Pharmacist assessment and counselling
A pharmacist may assess a prescription and may contact you or the prescribing veterinarian where additional information is reasonably required. You may request pharmacist counselling about a medication.

5. Veterinarian responsibility
FurMed does not establish or replace a veterinarian-client-patient relationship. Veterinary diagnosis, the decision to prescribe, and the choice of medication, dose and directions remain with the prescribing veterinarian, who remains responsible for prescribing in accordance with applicable professional requirements. You should follow your veterinarian's instructions and contact your veterinarian with questions about your pet's health.
6. Pharmacy discretion
Our pharmacists may clarify prescription information before dispensing, may contact your veterinarian, and may decline or delay dispensing, or ask for a new prescription, if a prescription cannot be verified, is incomplete or unclear, or if dispensing is not permitted. Where we decline a request, we will tell you.
7. Accounts, requests and information you provide
You agree that information you provide is accurate and complete, that you are authorized to submit it (including for your pet), and that uploaded files are genuine. Submitting false or altered prescriptions may be reported to the appropriate authorities. Request statuses (Submitted, Under Pharmacist Review, Needs Info, Rejected, Cart Ready, Payment Sent, Paid) are informational and do not on their own confirm that your order will be filled.
8. Product availability
Availability is subject to inventory, regulatory requirements, prescription validity, pharmacist assessment and supplier availability. Nothing appearing on the website guarantees that a medication may lawfully be dispensed to a particular patient.
9. Compounded medications
Compounded medications are prepared only where permitted by applicable law and professional standards and where the pharmacy determines the prescription is appropriate to fill. They may differ from commercially manufactured products in formulation, appearance, packaging, storage requirements and beyond-use date, and are not necessarily Health Canada-authorized products. 10. Controlled substances
Controlled substances and other specially regulated medications are subject to additional legal, professional, identification, prescription, dispensing and delivery requirements. Certain products may not be available for online ordering or may require additional verification. See our Shipping and Controlled Drugs Policy.
11. Payment, prices and checkout
Payment is requested after pharmacist review, using a secure payment link or checkout. Prices are in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated. Applicable taxes, dispensing fees, delivery fees and other charges are disclosed before you complete a transaction. Your order is processed for preparation and shipping once payment is received. We may cancel an unpaid order after a reasonable period. Payments are handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
We may correct pricing or product-description errors and will provide any cancellation or refund required by applicable law.
Internet agreements. Where applicable, Vital Rx Pharmacy will comply with Ontario requirements governing Internet agreements and other consumer transactions. At checkout we will: disclose the required information before you agree (including seller identity, a description of the goods or services, itemised prices, taxes, delivery and other charges, total price and currency, delivery arrangements, and cancellation and return terms); give you an express opportunity to accept or decline the agreement; give you an opportunity to correct errors before you submit it; and send you a copy of the agreement within the legally required time.
12. Shipping
Veterinary medications are delivered across Canada, where permitted by applicable provincial requirements. We select delivery methods based on the medication, destination and applicable legal requirements; some medications have additional delivery restrictions. See our Shipping and Controlled Drugs Policy. Delivery estimates are not guarantees, and we are not responsible for delay caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
13. Returns and refunds
Prescription medications, compounded medications and other pharmacy products may be subject to restrictions on return or resale. See our Returns Policy. Nothing in that policy limits your rights where a medication was incorrectly dispensed, damaged, defective, subject to a recall, or otherwise requires remediation under applicable law.
14. Product use, adverse reactions and emergencies
You are responsible for giving medication to your animal exactly as directed by the prescribing veterinarian or pharmacist. Do not change the dose, route, frequency or duration without veterinary advice. If your animal has a suspected adverse reaction or a medical emergency, contact your veterinarian or an emergency veterinary facility immediately. FurMed's website, email and ordinary customer-service channels are not emergency veterinary services. See our Patient Safety Policy.
15. Website information is not veterinary advice
Content on this site, including articles, FAQs and the website assistant, is for general information only. It is not veterinary medical advice, diagnosis or a recommendation about any medication for your pet, and we make reasonable efforts to keep it accurate but do not guarantee it is complete, current or error-free. Always consult your veterinarian.
16. Website assistant
Our website assistant gives general information about our services and cannot give diagnosis, dosing or medication recommendations. It may be wrong. Conversations may be recorded under our Privacy Policy.
17. Intellectual property
The site, logo and content belong to us or our licensors and may not be reproduced or used without permission, except as permitted by law.
18. Prohibited use
You must not: submit false or fraudulent prescription information; impersonate a veterinarian, pharmacist or other professional; obtain medication using another person's information without authorization; interfere with website security or upload malicious files; use the site for unlawful purposes; or attempt to circumvent prescription, controlled-substance or other regulatory requirements.
19. Consumer rights
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes rights that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded under applicable consumer-protection legislation.
20. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the site and services are provided as available. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the site, and our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the order concerned. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law or professional obligations, or the professional obligations of our pharmacists.
21. Privacy
Use of the site and pharmacy services is subject to our Privacy Policy.
22. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, except to the extent mandatory laws of another jurisdiction apply to a transaction.
23. Changes and contact
